Hi all,
As you might imagine, we are in the final stages of preparation for the wedding, so updates have been sparse for the past few weeks. We are so excited to have everyone come in to Charlottesville, and we can't wait to see everyone next weekend!
Because our wedding is at 1pm, if you are arriving in town on Saturday and are planning on staying in a hotel, you most likely won't be able to check in until after the wedding. This becomes a problem since you won't have a place to park your car, and the chapel does not have a parking lot. Street parking is pretty limited in the area, so the best bet is to park at the UVa parking deck. From there it is only a short walk to the chapel. This applies to those that are coming up for the day as well.
To help make this a little clearer, I have created a map in Google maps that has all of the key locations marked, and the routes to follow between them. Just click here to view the map. If you need directions to the parking deck for example, you can click on the parking deck pushpin on the map and select 'directions to here' to get personalized directions after typing in your address.
I have also added places like the reception location, the hotels, and nearby places to eat. I hope this helps those that are new to the area. We're sure you're going to like Charlottesville. It's a great town (and was rated #1 place to live in the US by USA Today a while back!)
